That is probably the craziest thing I have heard a realtor doing, but probably the best story. I thought my realtor was pretty gutsy when he called all 3 people who had visited our property and told each other that the others were very interested. Within 1 day we had an offer on our house for more than we were asking for. It was amazing, keep up the good work.

It is so sad that are so many neighborhoods out there like this. In my subdivision alone there is a guy who owns 6 duplexes and is in foreclosure with 5 out of the 6. You can only imagine how angry all the neighbors are especially since he can't maintain them. He is a slime and hasn't taken care of his tenants which is unfortunate because they are good people. I think foreclosures do affect the neighborhood especially our moral and sense of community.

Strong neighborhoods can hold their own even with a foreclosure on the block. Other, questionable or fringe areas will take a beating. Other places, where everything is in trouble will be decimated (like North Minneapolis).

I wonder if there is any connection between different local government backed "subsidized mortgage" programs targeted for low income folks and what percent of these homes are in foreclosure and bringing down the value of people who got conventional financing and have made payments on time?
